Hacker Attacks a Hoax
In late 1999, The news was full of stories about hacker attacks on popular websites
like Yahoo, Ebay, E-trade, CNN.COM, and many others. These stories were false. You
may have heard or read that hackers purposely bombed the sites with traffic until they
crashed, causing people to see messages like the one below.
These sites were NOT down because of hacker attacks; they simply
crashed after their servers were upgraded to Windows 2000.
Windows 2000 is advertised as "The Reliable Operating System for
Businesses," but it could not handle the regular traffic of the sites
that had upgraded to it. It crashed while installing, and crashed
again after it was supposed to be fixed. Large web sites, corporate intranets,
and many other systems running Windows 2000 continue to have serious problems,
even after installing service pack one. Reliable my eye! Perhaps it is plug and
play technology, but Windows 2000 has brought Windows 95 and 98's infamous
crashes to the formerly somewhat reliable NT platform. It is also so bloated and
inefficient, that it could make a system like Deep Blue run at the speed of a
Commodore Vic 20!
Microsoft paid these companies, as well as some unscrupulous news
agencies to spread the false stories about hacker attacks. It is all
a conspiracy to hide the failings of its new OS. An anonymous
webmaster at one of the major sites disrupted by Windows 2000 had
this to say. "Microsoft is taking advantage of its monopoly
position. I hope that the justice department busts them up
soon!"
Have you noticed that the ones responsible for the hacker attacks
have not been caught? This is because they do not exist. Windows 2000
is just another bloated collection of bugs and poor coding from Bill
Gates and Company. At THE UNCOVEROR, our servers do not now, and
never will use Windows 2000. As soon as Microsoft commissars read
this, they will probably have some computer geeks arrested and
jailed, saying they have caught the "hackers." In fact, It has been
reported that one individual has been taken into custody. Don't
believe it. This one, and other innocent kids will be sacrificed as
scapegoats. Yes, Microsoft is that powerful, and that unscrupulous.
